Almond ( Badam ) for Cough...
Absolutely, you read it right...
Almond( Badam) is a dry fruit which has been used all through these years as a snack...
Women, mostly use Almond as a sweet garnish... they would soak the Almond overnight and the next day, peel out the skin... cut it into slices and either add them to the sweets or garnish them with it...
For long, my friends would always complain on a regular basis... that their children’s cough is something which goes away with some antibiotics and cough syrups... but it’s back again within a short period of time...
They were not willing to continue the syrups for a longer period of time... neither do the doctors suggest it...
So, I gave them this brilliant idea... cause this is what I do for my kids... rather than giving them syrups regularly... I make this cough resistance recipe myself at home and give it to my kids... this not only helps them in getting rid of the continuous cough, it is a healthy food besides being very tasty to eat... that even my 3yr old eats it without any fuss...
My kids call it Spicy Almond Popcorn...
Method of preparation:
- Take 7 Almond ( badam ).
- Place it in the middle of a frying pan.
- Add 3 tablespoons of Olive Oil ( All the Almonds should soak into it ).
- Add 3 pinch of Pepper.
- Add 3 pinch of Salt.
- Fry them until they turn dark blackish brown...
Then you will get a lovely aroma of Almond getting fried in Olive Oil... it’s done...
Take the Almonds out from the frying pan... put them into a bowl... wait till it cools down... please be very careful as the Almonds will be very hot... kids might try to grab them in excitement...
Each person will have to take 7 Almonds each... so if you need to make for more number of members then multiply the quantity as required...
This can be eaten anytime...
