Curd Making... DIY

Curd Making... DIY

When I see my Mom setting curd, step by step... and the formula is just so perfect... that the Milk can’t get away but to turn into Curd... the procedure and the method that my mom follows never changes even a bit... no matter how many number of times she keeps the Curd to set... the method remains exactly the same... Perrrrrfect....

I have always wanted to make it myself... cause the curd that we make at home will always be healthy... and added to it the one thing that I have noticed about kids is that... whatever their mother makes... be it a simple curd or just a single Chapati... kids will relish and eat it...

Hmmmm... This ones for my mom...

Let me start with the ingredientsthat you will be needing:
  • A medium sized container with a lid...
  • 1 packet toned milk... probably 500ml packet.
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of curd...

I’m sure you are definitely surprised reading the 3rd point.. Yes... you read it right... the first time you start making curd... purchase a 100ml pack of curd... use it accordingly...

Then,

Method of Making Curd:
  • Boil the milk.
  • Let it cool till the point it feels slightly hot to touch... ( Note: during cold weather the milk should be very hot to touch. Whereas during hot weather the milk should be just slightly hot when touched )...
  • Add the curd...
  • Close the lid and keep it aside until the curd feels a bit solid...
  • Then, you can refrigerate it...
  • This curd will be good to eat for at least 3 days... use only a spoon to serve the curd from the bowl or box...

That’s it... your own homemade curd is ready to be served and eaten...

You can serve curd with either pinch of pepper... if you child is very prone to catching a cold cause of curd...

Else, serve it in a bowl with a few spoons of sugar as needed... this keeps the bones strong and healthy... and of course kids will love it as it’s a sweet food...

Curd can be eaten anytime during the day... Avoid curd at night... it increases cold and cough...

Hope, this blog helps you in improvising your healthy habits... this could be another addition to your daily healthy foods list for you and your family...
